Unlock Your Samsung

Samsung cell phones, when purchased from cell phone service providers, come with network restrictions on them. After you unlock the phone, you will have the freedom to choose any telecom service provider. You will also get to increase the resale value of your phone. Additionally, if you have ever wanted to use a dual SIM Samsung cell phone, unlocking the phone will help you achieve that.

Instructions

1. Go to a website that provides Samsung unlock codes, for instance Unlocking, Unlock Samsung Online or the Phone Unlockers. These websites facilitate remote unlocking of many Samsung cell phone models.

2. On the website, select your model--for example, Samsung Omnia, Samsung U600 or Samsung BlackJack. You can also select your phone model by searching it using the search box on the website.

3. Provide the phone's IMEI number. To find the IMEI number of your Samsung, type "*#06#."

4. Specify the network to which you are currently connected.

5. Enter your email address along with the credit card details to purchase the code.

6. Wait for the website to email you the code.

7. Enter the unlock code into the phone. First, you have to turn on your phone using an unaccepted SIM card. Then, enter the code when prompted for it. The unlocking method may be slightly different depending on the network and phone model. Nonetheless, you will get the unlocking instructions from the website from which you purchased the code.
