3gp files are video files typically used by 3g cell phones that can transmit video. There are not any video creation programs that create 3gp files out of raw video. Instead, another video format is used to create a 3gp file by converting the file. The Nokia video manager, which is part of the Nokia PC suite, can be used to create 3gp files from other video files. The output files can be used on any phone, not just Nokia phones.
Instructions
1. Launch your web browser. Go to the Nokia website (see "Additional Resources," below).
2. Download and install the Nokia PC suite to your computer if you do not have it already. This is a free software suite and it includes the Nokia video manager, which can be used to create a 3pg file.
3. Open the Nokia video manager program on your computer. The Nokia video manager is primarily a multimedia player but can also be used to convert videos into other formats.
4. Click "File" and then "Open" to open up the file from which you want to create a 3gp file. Or you can drag and drop the file into the window of the program.
5. Click "File" and select "Save As." Select 3gp as your file type and click on "Save." This will create a 3gp file out of the video file that you selected. Once you do this, you will be able to use the new 3gp file on your 3g cell phone.
