Pair A Bluetooth With A Blackberry 8830

The BlackBerry 8830 uses Bluetooth technology, giving you the ability to connect other Bluetooth-capable devices with your unit. You can use the feature to transfer data between another smartphone or to use a headset for hands-free calls. Bluetooth does not automatically work, however. First you must pair the other device with your BlackBerry in order for the two to communicate.

Instructions

1. Open the "Manage Connections" tool on your 8830.

2. Put a check next to "Bluetooth" by highlighting and clicking it.

3. Open the "Set Up Bluetooth" wizard.

4. Enable pairing mode on your other Bluetooth device. See your device's owner's guide for instructions if you do not know place it into pairing mode.

5. Click "OK" on your 8830 after your other device is in paring mode. Your BlackBerry will begin searching for units in pairing mode.

6. Click the Bluetooth unit's name from the 8830's list.

7. Enter the Bluetooth unit's passkey into the 8830.

8. Enter your 8830's passkey (0000) into the other device if prompted.
