Unlock A Nokia 2760b Phone On Cellular One

The SIM card is located on the back of your Nokia phone.

The Nokia 2760B is a dual-band Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) phone that only works on American networks like Cellular One. To unlock your phone, you need to obtain an unlock code from Cellular One. But before doing so, obtain an International Mobile Equipment Identification (IMEI) number on your cell phone and ensure you have a Subscriber Identification Memory (SIM) card if you do not have one already. This SIM card lets your phone access the network; Cellular One will provide you one.

Instructions

1. Remove the battery cover, and take out the battery.

2. Locate the SIM card, which is similar to a computer microchip. Remove the SIM card with your fingernail.

3. Look at the sticker at the back of your battery; it contains the IMEI code. Write it down, and keep it nearby for reference.

4. Contact Cellular One at 800-549-4000 on your landline phone.

5. Ask the representative for an unlock code. Provide your phone's IMEI number. Write down the unlock code.

6. Place the SIM card in your phone.

7. Put the battery back, and place the protective cover back on.

8. Turn on your cell phone.

9. Type "#PW++1#" (without quotes) where is the unlock code.

10. Press the "Send" key to activate to the Cellular One network.
