Unlock A Nokia E52

Unlock your Nokia E52 phone to keep roaming charges low.

Locked cellphones have a SIM lock. This means that the phone can only be used with specific SIM cards that access cellphone towers that are only run by one cellphone provider. Locked cellphones are typically found in the United States. In order to access other cellphone provider towers you will be charged much more expensive roaming rates. With an unlocked cellphone you can change out the SIM card and use any cellphone network that you want.

Instructions

1. Remove the SIM card from the Nokia E52. To access the SIM card remove the back cover, pop out the battery and slide out the SIM card. Insert the battery and replace the back cover. Turn the phone on. Ignore any message that is displayed on the view screen.

2. Order the unlock code from your local phone provider. Each phone needs its own code; there is no universal unlock code.

3. Input the message #pw+code+7#. Thee letter p is formed by pressing the star button three times quickly in a row. The letter w appears by pressing the star button four times quickly in a row. The + appears by pressing the star button two times quickly in a row. The code is the unlock code you obtained in Step 2. Once the message is composed, the view screen will display "SIM Restriction Off," and your phone is unlocked.
