Check The Original Manufacturing Date For A Nokia Bp6m Battery

The Nokia BP-6M is a lithium cellular battery compatible with various Nokia phones, such as Nokia N-series phones and 6000-series phones. The newer your Nokia BP-6M battery is the more use you can get out of it. If you have a Nokia BP-6M lithium battery you may think there is no way to tell how old it is, but all cellphone batteries contain a code on the manufacturing label that tells how old the battery is. You just need to know read it in order to find out the battery's age.

Instructions

1. Locate the 15-character alphanumeric code on the label on the bottom of the Nokia battery.

2. Locate the ninth position on the code. This letter represents the year that the battery was made. "A" represents 1990 and goes all the way to 2015, which is "Z." For example, if the letter at the ninth position is "D" then the battery was manufactured in 1993.

3. Locate the 10th and 11th positions on the code. These two letters represent the week of manufacture. "A" represents "0" and "J" represents "9." For example, if the tenth and 11th positions read, "AD," then that would represent the third week of the year. "EG," would represent the 46th week of the year.
