Upload Pictures From A Nokia 5300

The Nokia 5300 slide-out phone from T-Mobile comes equipped with a built-in media player, Internet capability and 1.3MP camera, among other features. A microSD card slot gives you additional storage for your favorite music and for saving images. Once stored on the phone, Nokia gives you the option of uploading the files directly to your computer system, which can be done with the provided USB data cable.

Instructions

1. Open your computer's Internet browser and navigate to the Nokia PC Suite download page (see Resources). Click "Download" and wait for the program to download to your computer.

2. Double-click the downloaded file to load the Nokia PC Suite software installation wizard. Accept the end-user agreement, then follow the prompts to install the driver onto the computer.

3. Plug the USB data cable into the USB port on your Nokia 5300, then insert the opposite end into a USB port on the computer.

4. Launch the Nokia PC Suite software (either double-click the desktop icon or select the program tab from the "Start" menu). The program automatically detects the connected Nokia phone and displays all of the file information stored on the device. Click the check boxes of the picture files you want to transfer, then click the "Sync" option. The pictures upload directly to your computer.
