Replace A Dodge Neon Front Bumper Cover

Replace a Dodge Neon Front Bumper Cover

The Neon was introduced in 1995 and sold until 2005 by Chrysler Corporation, under the Dodge brand. The Neon proved to be a popular vehicle for modifications, including body-kits and aftermarket bumper covers. Learn to replace your bumper cover whether it is due to damage or the desire for an upgrade.

Instructions

1. Park the Neon on level ground and engage the parking brake for safety.

2. Remove the two screws in each front-wheel well, in front of the tires. The screws for the bumper cover are directly in line with the cover.

3. Remove the four screws mounted below the front bumper. Lay a towel in front of the vehicle to avoid getting on the ground.

4. Take off the two straps mounted at the top part of the bumper cover.

5. Grab one side of the bumper cover and have a helper take the other side. Pull the cover until the clips are released and set it aside.

6. Attach the new bumper cover in the same position as the old one. Reuse the old clips if they new one does not include them. Pop the clips in to secure the bumper and replace the screws and straps.
