Save Contacts From Old To New Nokia Phones

Save time by transferring your contacts to your new Nokia phone online.

When you purchase a new handset, relocating the contacts from your old cell phone to your new cell phone can be a hassle. Most wireless service providers have an application you can install on your cell phone that will allow you to move your contacts online quickly and easily.

Instructions

1. Press the "Home" or "Menu" key on your old phone to access the list of applications.

2. Use the touch screen or navigational keys to scroll to "Get it Now" or "Media Center," and click "OK."

3. Use the touch screen or navigational keys to scroll to "Tools on the Go" or "Browse and Download," and click "OK." Scroll to "Get New Application" and click "OK."

4. Scroll to "Business Tools/Information" and click "OK." Scroll to "Backup Assistant" and click "OK."

5. Follow the prompts to download the "Backup Assistant" application on your phone and synchronize your full list of contacts.

6. Go online or call your wireless provider to activate your new Nokia cell phone. To activate your phone online, log in to your wireless provider's website by entering your login name and password under "My Account" and clicking "Submit." Click the "Activate New Phone Tab," and follow the prompts to activate your phone. To activate your phone through your wireless provider, call the provider's help line and follow the prompts.

7. Repeat Steps 1 through 4 on your new Nokia phone to download the "Backup Assistant" program.

8. Enter your PIN number using the keypad once the installation completes and follow the prompts to restore your contacts.
