Jabra Bluetooth Bt160 Pairing Instructions

Jabra released the BT160 Bluetooth headset in 2006 as a way to give consumers a choice when it comes to how their Bluetooth headset looks. The defining feature of the BT160 is the removable faceplate that the user can replace with any of the 33 different faceplates that come with the device. Like all Bluetooth headsets, the BT160 needs to go through a pairing process in order to establish in connection with a mobile device. Once the pairing process is complete, the BT160 will automatically connect to that device whenever it is within range.

Instructions

1. Plug the Jabra BT160's charger into the port on the round end of the headset, and plug the other end into a power outlet. The blue light on the headset will turn on. Once the light turns off, which could take up to two hours, the headset is fully charged and ready to pair. Unplug the charger from the headset.

2. Press the large button on the face of the headset to turn the headset on.

3. Press and hold the button on the face of the headset and the volume up button, which is the volume button closest to the charging port. Hold these button down until the indicator light turns a solid blue.

4. Access the Bluetooth menu on the device you are going to pair with the BT160. Choose the option that lets your search for a new Bluetooth device, which is usually labeled as "New," "Search" or "Add." Once you get a list of nearby Bluetooth devices, choose "Jabra BT160" from the list.

5. Enter "0000" as the passkey on your mobile device. Press "Done" or "OK" to complete the pairing process.
