Knowing disassemble your Vizio TV to the manufacturer's form comes in handy in the event that you are moving and need to package the TV in its original box, or if you are mounting the TV on the wall. Disassembling the TV sounds like a long and complicated task, but in reality, all you are doing is removing the TV's base. The task uses regular household tools and only takes minutes to complete.
Instructions
1. Cover the screen of your Vizio TV with a blanket, and lay the TV face down on a table or a flat and even surface. Using the blanket helps reduce the risk of the damage to the TV screen.
2. Follow the base of the TV to the spot where it goes into the TV and use a Philips screwdriver to loosen all the screws along the path. Remove the screws and set them aside.
3. Pull the base out from the TV. The base may be resistant to move because it has been in place for a while, so continue pulling with constant, even pressure, making sure not to jerk at it. Once the base has been removed, place the screws in a baggie, tape the baggie shut and tape it to the TV base to put away for safe keeping.
