Instructions
Unlock with Carrier
1. Enter in the "*#06#" code on the N73's keypad and look at the display. The phone's IMEI number should be showing.
2. Contact your phone's carrier. Speak with a customer service representative, providing him with your phone's IMEI number. Ask for an unlock code, though be aware he may not provide you with it.
3. Turn the N73 off and remove both the battery pack and the subscriber identity module (SIM) card. Reinsert the battery pack (but not the SIM card) and turn the phone back on.
4. Dial "#pw+CODE+1#" on the keypad (where "CODE" is the unlock code the representative gave you). Press the "*" key twice quickly to cause "+" to appear on the screen. Press "*" three times quickly for "p" to appear. Press "*" four times quickly for "w" to appear.
5. Look at the phone's display. It should read "SIM Restriction Off."

6. Enter in the "*#06#" code on the N73's keypad and look at the display. The phone's IMEI number should be showing.
7. Navigate to a website that sells unlock codes. Provide the site with your IMEI number and purchase a code.
8. Turn the N73 off and remove both the battery pack and the SIM card. Reinsert the battery pack (but not the SIM card) and turn the phone back on.
