Import Phone Numbers On A Nokia N96

The N96 is part of Nokia's NSeries line of smart phones. The N96 can be used to play MP3s, videos, take pictures, play games, check email and browse the Internet. You also have the option to import phone numbers and other information from your computer's address book. This importation is accomplished by way of synchronization. To synchronize phone numbers onto your N96 you need the correct software and hardware.

Instructions

1. Install the Nokia NSeries PC Suite software program onto your computer. You can download and install the software for free through the Nokia website (see Resources).

2. Connect your N96 to your computer with a mini-USB cable. One end of the cable should be connected to the USB port of your Nokia, the other end to the USB port of your computer.

3. Open the PC Suite program on your computer. You will likely see an icon for the program on your desktop. If not, locate the program by clicking your Windows "Start" button and selecting "Programs."

4. Press the "Menu" button on your Nokia device. Select "Tools" and "Sync." Select "Options" and "Synchronize."

5. Select the "Synchronize" option from the PC Suite program. Click "Synchronize Now."

6. Wait as your contacts are imported from your computer to your Nokia N96.
