Change The Batteries In A Nokia 1100

The Nokia 1100 phone is a 3.03 oz. dual-band GSM cell phone that features a monochrome display capable of showing up to four lines of text, two-way scrolling and a built-in flashlight. The phone is powered by an 850 mAh capacity Li-ion rechargeable battery that can provide up to four hours and 30 minutes of talk time between charges. Nokia designed the 1100 battery compartment cover with a simple cover release button. As a result, you can usually remove the cover and remove and change your spent or defective battery for the first time in less than five minutes.

Instructions

1. Turn off your Nokia 1100. Turn the phone to the back and hold it with the top end toward you and the bottom pointing away.

2. Push the cover release button. Push the cover toward the end of the phone slightly and then lift it from the phone. Set the cover aside.

3. Note the placement of the battery within the compartment, which side of the battery is facing up and the battery's alignment within the compartment. Place your fingernail in the finger grip at the top of the battery and lift up to remove the battery from the compartment. Set the battery aside.

4. Align and insert the new battery into the compartment. Slide the cover onto the phone until it locks into place.
