Unlock A Nokia 5300 Bb5

Nokia 5300, also called the XpressMusic, is a GSM cell phone. Unlocking the handset will enable you to use it with any cellular service provider, such as AT&T or T-mobile. You can save on roaming charges by installing the SIM card of a local service provider, should you ever visit some foreign destination. The simplest method of unlocking the handset is contacting the cellular service provider.

Instructions

1. Contact your service provider's customer support department.

2. Ask the company agent to provide you with the phone unlock code. If asked, give a reason for getting the handset unlocked; for instance, you can say that you plan to visit a friend in London and can't afford the high roaming fee.

3. Wait for the code to be sent to you. Typically, the code will arrive in a couple of days via email.

4. Insert the unlock code into the phone, as instructed by your service provider. You have to insert the SIM of another provider into the phone. To get the new SIM, visit the franchise of the cellular service provider you want to sign up with. Choose a suitable cellular plan, for instance, postpaid or prepaid, and pay the charges. The company agent will then issue a new SIM card to you.

Enter the unlock code after entering the new SIM into the phone. Your phone will display "Restriction removed" message.
