Avira AntiVir Premium is a commercial computer anti-virus program that costs $29.99 per year as of 2011. Avira also offers a 30-day free trial of AntiVir Premium, giving you an opportunity to test the software before you decide to purchase it. If you have installed the trial version of AntiVir Premium and decided to buy it, enter your registration key to convert the trial version of the program to the full version.
Instructions
1. Right-click the red Avira AntiVir icon in the lower right corner of the screen, and then select Start AntiVir. This displays the main menu for AntiVir Premium.
2. Click the Help menu at the top of the window, and then select License Management. A window titled "Welcome to the License Wizard" appears.
3. Click the "Activate Product" radio button.
4. Click the field next to "Activation Code," and type the code that Avira sent to your email address when you purchased AntiVir Premium. You may find it helpful to copy and paste the code from the activation email to avoid a typing error. A valid activation code contains 25 alphanumeric characters with a hyphen separating each group of five characters. Alternatively, download the file kbedv.key attached to the activation email. Click the kbedv.key link at the bottom of the window, and then double-click the file.
5. Click "Next," "Yes," "OK" and "Finish" to activate Avira AntiVir Premium.
