Reset A Nokia 5300 When It Is Off

The Nokia 5300 cell phone was released for consumer purchase in 2007. Like any electronic device, you might experience occasional problems with the Nokia 5300, such as the phone not turning on even when the battery is charged. If this is the case, one option is to reset the power supply. This can be done in a few simple steps.

Instructions

1. Turn the Nokia 5300 over so the back of the phone is facing up. Press the battery cover release button on the top of the phone and pull the battery cover off of the phone.

2. Remove the battery from the battery compartment by gripping it near the top of the phone and pulling outward.

3. Reinsert the battery by sliding the bottom part of the battery (with the contacts facing downward) into the battery compartment and pressing in on the top of the battery. Reattach the battery cover by attaching the bottom of the cover to the phone and pressing in on the top of the cover until it clicks in place.

4. Press and hold the "Power" button on the top of the phone until the screen comes on to complete the reset.
