Flash Your Motorola Phone For Cricket

Cell Phone

Cricket is an American cellular carrier that provides the service of using a customers pre-existing cell phone and connecting it to their network. The process of having the phone formatted for use on the Cricket network is called flashing. It is very simple to have a cell phone purchased from another carrier flashed to work on Cricket.

Instructions

Flashing Phone for Cricket

1. Make sure the phone is no longer in use on the previous network by calling the provider and canceling the service.

2. Take the cell phone you want to flash to a Cricket service provider. Ask the clerk to check their database to make sure the phone is supported by the network for use. Most new cell phones are usable on the Cricket network but it is smart to check to make sure before erasing all carrier data.

3. Ask the clerk to flash to phone to be used on Cricket. This will erase the previous carrier data on the phone that allowed it to connect to the original cellular network and copy the information onto the phone allowing it to be used on the Cricket network. The store usually charges a fee for this, between 50 and 80 dollars depending on location.

4. Now the cell phone owner can either set up a cell plan with Cricket or purchase a pay as you go package using the Cricket network.
