Activate Gprs For An Alcatel Ots319

The Alcatel OT-S319 cell phone supports GPRS service up to speeds of 32 kbps to 48 kbps. Using GPRS, you can access the Internet to send and receive emails, check news and weather reports, update your social network page, use instant messenger on the go and much more. Activating GPRS on your Alcatel handheld is a simple task.


Instructions


1. Call your carrier's customer services department, and ask the representative to activate GPRS on your phone. Tell him your account username and number. Once he activates GPRS, he will tell you the network settings to be enter into the phone. Usually, network providers send you automatic settings via SMS. If not, write down the settings on the phone.


2. Go to the "WAP menu" on your Alcatel OT-S319. Then press "OK."


3. Choose "Profile" and press "OK."


4. Select the option "Profiles List" and select "OK" again.


5. Choose the option "Create New."


6. Enter the settings you got into their respective fields as the network rep instructed you. You will have to enter values for "profile name," "homepage," "IP address," "security," "bearer choice," "GRPS parameters," "Authentication," "Username," "Password" and "Access Point Name."


7. Select "OK" to save the settings.
