Gps Directions For The Sprint Blackberry 8830

Forget using confusing maps; instead use GPS right on your BlackBerry


One feature that many people like to have on their smart phones is a GPS/navigation system. With the BlackBerry 8830 World Edition and a Sprint service, you already have the GPS that you need right on your phone without any downloads from BlackBerry World App: Sprint Navigation. For those with an unlimited Sprint plan, like the Simply Everything plan, the navigation software is free. With the GPS directions from Sprint, you get turn-by-turn and voice-automated directions.


Instructions


1. Click the "BlackBerry" menu button from your phone to open the BlackBerry Main Menu. Click the "Sprint Navigation" icon. If you don't see it on your menu click the Web Browser, then press the "Menu" button on your phone and select "Go To..." In the download link type "http://ota.telenav.com/ota/sn/nav" then select "OK." Click "Sprint Navigation" once it appears on your Main Menu.


2. Click "OK" on the Please Read screen when the application opens. Then, click "View" on the Permissions screen.


3. Ensure each item in the Permissions screen says "Allow" to the right of it. Select "Menu," then "Save."


4. Click "Accept" after reading the Terms of Service.


5. Type in your phone number (ex: 3135553124), first name, last name and email address on the Register screen. Click your trackball to submit.


6. Select "Yes" on the Product Tour dialog box if you'd like to tour the application, or press "No, Skip Tour" to proceed.


7. Select "Reboot" or "Restart" from the Download dialog box to finish the download. When your phone automatically turns back on, click on "Sprint Navigation" from the Main Menu, and select "Drive To" to type in your destination.
