Set Up A Wireless Bluetooth Headset With A Nokia N95

A Bluetooth headset allows handsfree use of your Nokia N95.

Bluetooth is a wireless technology that allows you to connect, or "pair," two devices within a distance of about 30 feet. With a Bluetooth headset, you can place and receive phone calls handsfree (after dialing, of course), leaving your Nokia N95 on a belt clip, in a pants pocket, or in a purse.

Instructions

1. Put your Bluetooth headset into "discoverable" mode. Your headset packaging will have a "getting started" card or manual which explains turn on discoverable mode; for many headsets, press and hold the power button for three to five seconds. Discoverable mode broadcasts a Bluetooth signal which makes it available to other devices.

2. Select "Tools" from your N95's main menu, then "Bluetooth."

3. Turn your N95's Bluetooth on by choosing "Bluetooth," then selecting "on."

4. Select "Options" from the Bluetooth menu, then "New paired device." Your N95 will search for available Bluetooth devices, and should display the name of the headset onscreen.

5. Enter the numeric password for the device with the Nokia's keypad. This number can be found in your headset's setup guide, and is frequently "0000." Your headset will now be paired with your N95, and you will not need to repeat these steps to use the headset. Consult your headset's manual for instructions about daily operation.
