Pair A Jawbone Earpiece

A Jawbone earpiece uses Bluetooth technology in order to let a user listen to sounds from a device, like a cell phone, without having to be physically connected to the device. Before the Jawbone earpiece will work, it has to go through a connection process, called pairing. When the Jawbone pairs with a device, it creates a secure connection that ensures information flows only between the headset and the device to which it is connected.

Instructions

1. Charge the Jawbone earpiece by plugging it into the supplied wall charger. Let it charge for at least 20 minutes to ensure it has enough power for the pairing process. Remove the Jawbone from the charger when it is sufficiently charged.

2. Press and hold the large "Talk" button on the back of the Jawbone while sliding the "On" switch forward, or press and hold the "Talk" button and the "NoiseAssassin" button for four seconds, depending on the Jawbone model, to enter pairing mode. When the LED indicator flashes red and white, the Jawbone is in pairing mode.

3. Access the "Bluetooth" menu on the other device. The Bluetooth menu typically is located in the main menu, and also can be found in the "Settings" or "Tools" menus.

4. Select the option on the other device to search for Bluetooth devices in range. On most devices, this will be done by selecting "Add," "Add New" or "New." When complete, a list of available Bluetooth devices will appear.

5. Select the Jawbone device from the list. Enter "0000" when asked for the passcode. The Jawbone is now paired with the device. Press the "Talk" button one time to make sure both devices are connected.
