Transfer A Windows Mobile Phonebook Via Bluetooth

Windows Mobile devices can "beam" contacts to each other via Bluetooth.

Windows Mobile devices can transfer contacts to other Windows Mobile contacts via Bluetooth through a process called "beaming." Beaming only requires that both devices are Bluetooth-enabled and discoverable, making Bluetooth transfers simpler than most other transfer methods. Windows Mobile does not allow multiple selection of contacts, so each contact must be selected and sent individually to transfer an entire contact set.

Instructions

1. Open your contacts list on the transferring device through the "Start" menu.

2. Select the first contact that you want to transfer.

3. Tap "Menu," then "Send Contact."

4. Ensure that the receiving device is discoverable in the device's Bluetooth connection menu. Go to "Start," "Settings," "Connections," then "Bluetooth." Select "Make this device visible to other devices" to make the device discoverable.

5. Select "Beam" on the transferring device, then select the name of the receiving device from the device's menu.

6. Repeat this process as necessary for other contacts.
