Threeway Call

Push your telephone's call-waiting button to start a new line for three-way calling.

Three-way calling is an effective means of simultaneously including multiple parties on a single telephone call. Three-way calling is a cost-efficient alternative to ordering expensive conference calling services for people who only wish to connect a small number of parties into one conversation. You must have already established three-way calling service with your telephone provider in order to use this feature.

Instructions

1. Inform the person you are speaking with that you intend to make a three-way call. Inform him or her of the intended third party would like to bring into the conversation before establishing the connection.

2. Push the receiver or call-waiting button to switch over to a new calling line. Be careful not to hold the receiver down too long, as it may cause the call to disconnect.

3. Listen for a new dial tone. Do not attempt to dial before you hear the tone.

4. Dial the third party's telephone number. Wait for the third party to answer the telephone. Greet the recipient and make him or her aware that you would like to connect a three way call. Let them know who is on the other line waiting.

5. Push the receiver of call-waiting button again to connect your third party with the person with whom you were speaking originally. All three telephone lines will merge so that you may all speak to one another.
