Unlock An Lg C3310 Phone

Unlocking your LG 3310 phone gives you the option to use alternative service providers.

The LG C3310 phone is fairly basic flip-style phone that was originally released in 2005. Although it's several years old, it still has relevant features, such as picture messaging, a VGA camera with LED flash and a WAP browser. Unlocking your LG C3310 will allow you to use foreign or pre-paid SIM cards, essentially enabling you to switch service providers without terminating your contract or signing a new one. It also increases the resale value of your phone.

Instructions

1. Locate your phone's International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number by typing "*#06#" into the keypad.

2. Contact your network service provider's tech support and request an unlock code. Be prepared to give your mobile number and IMEI number. If they refuse to give you a code, you can purchase one from a third-party website (see links in "Resources").

3. Turn off your phone and remove its SIM card by sliding off the back cover and removing the battery. The SIM card should be located underneath the battery. Insert your foreign or pre-paid SIM card in place of your original SIM card.

4. Turn your phone on. A message will appear on your screen that reads "Phone Restricted." Select "Cancel."

5. Another message will appear that reads "Phone Restriction Code." Enter the unlock code, then select "OK." Your phone is now unlocked and ready for use.
