Remove The Sim Card In A Nokia 6010

Sim card

The Nokia 6010 is a basic cell phone that offers voice and text messaging services. When you save items on your phone, whether they're text messages or contact information, you have the option of saving them to the phone's internal memory or to the SIM card. SIM stands for "subscriber identity module." The advantage of saving items to your SIM card is that you can remove the SIM card from the phone if the phone is damaged; if you slide the SIM into another Nokia 6010 you can easily retrieve your information.

Instructions

1. Turn off the power to your Nokia 6010.

2. Press and hold the release button on the back cover, which is at the bottom center of the back of your phone.

3. Slide the cover upwards to remove it from the phone.

4. Grasp the lower end of the battery on each side and lift it up and out of position. Set the battery on a clean, dry surface.

5. Locate the SIM card, which is underneath the battery. At the end of the SIM card, towards the top of the phone, you will see a small plastic clasp that holds the SIM card in place.

6. Press down on the plastic clasp with one thumb and use your other thumb to gently slide the SIM card upward and then lift it up and away from the phone.
