Verify Gprs Settings

Use the GPRS service on your phone to surf the Internet.

The technology that allows you to surf the Internet and check email on your phone is General Packet Radio Services (GPRS). It is a wireless communication service that enables data transmission at a rate that is higher than GSM service. You can access the Internet on your phone if it is Internet-capable and your wireless service company provides GPRS service. To verify that the GPRS settings on your phone are correct, use the phone's Web browser.

Instructions

1. Press the "Home" key on your phone.

2. Press "Menu" and select "Internet" or "Web Browser" from the list of applications and options.

3. Type the URL of any website into the address bar of the phone's Web browser. Depending on the brand and model of the phone, you can type the address using the physical keyboard or a virtual keyboard that automatically appears on screen.

4. Select "Enter" or "OK" on the keyboard. If the website opens in the Web browser, the GPRS settings on your phone are correct.
