Pair A Bluetooth Headset & Verizon Cell Phone

Information can be exchanged quickly using Bluetooth.

Most Verizon cell phones are capable of establishing a Bluetooth connection with other devices. Pairing establishes a secure connection that can be used for communication between Bluetooth-enabled devices. Pairing your cell phone with a headset can help you to communicate hands-free. The use of a headset is a safer way to perform certain tasks such as driving while talking on a cell phone. Depending on the model of your Verizon cell phone, the steps may vary slightly.

Instructions

1. Press the "Menu" key on your Verizon cell phone.

2. Click "Settings and Tools." Depending on the model of your phone, you may need to click "Connections."

3. Click "Bluetooth" or "Bluetooth Menu." Click "Add New Device."

4. Put the Bluetooth headset in discoverable mode. Depending on the headset, you may need to hold down the "Answer" button until the LED light flashes blue or purple.

5. Wait for the phone to recognize the headset, and scroll down to its name in the "Found Devices" list. Click "OK."

6. Enter the passkey on the cell phone when prompted. By default, the passkey for most headsets is "0000" or "1234." Click "OK" or "Set." A confirmation message will be displayed when the pairing is complete.
