Reset An N70

The Nokia N70 allows you to reset the phone to its original factory settings without disturbing any documents or files currently saved to your phone. This reset will remove any personalized settings you have created such as wallpapers, alarms, language selections and personalized texting dictionary. Be advised that resetting the phone will cause it to take longer to power on. In order to reset your phone, you will need to enter the personal lock code you created to prevent unauthorized access to the device. If you never took advantage of this feature, the original factory code is 12345. If you have lost your lock code or it does not work, contact your service provider.

Instructions

1. Press the Menu key to the left of the 1 and 4 keys.

2. Scroll the menu using the arrow keys and select "Tools" by pressing the key at the center of the arrows.

3. Select "Settings" from the new menu.

4. Select "Original Phone Settings."

5. Select "Reset."

6. Type your lock code and press "Enter." The phone will automatically reset to its original settings.
