Replace A Nokia Lcd 7373

Replace the LCD screen of your Nokia phone instead of buying a new one.

The Nokia 7373 is a slider phone that came out in 2006. If you have broken the LCD and don't want to buy a new phone, you can simply replace the screen. It doesn't cost much to do, and it's a fairly simple process. You just need a few tools and about 15 minutes. This will help save you from having to purchase a new phone.

Instructions

1. Buy a replacement LCD for your Nokia 7373. It is available online for about $8 as of 2010 (see Resources for links).

2. Turn off the Nokia 7373 and remove its battery. Remove the SIM (subscriber identity module) card of the phone as well. This is the white rectangular chip that sits beneath the battery.

3. Remove the top casing of the phone by running a pair of tweezers along the edges of the phone. Use your fingernails if needed.

4. Lift the connecting ribbon with the tweezers. You can see the connecting ribbon when the top cover has been removed.

5. Lift the LCD carefully with the tweezers. Give it a gentle push until it is detached from the phone.

6. Separate the LCD from the circuit board underneath it. Detach the LCD from the metal frame where it is attached.

7. Put the circuit board on the phone and connect the connecting ribbons. Get your replacement LCD and put it on the metal frame. Remove its protective coating.

8. Put the LCD frame on the phone and make sure it is correctly connected to the phone. Push it gently into place. Put the top casing back. Return the battery and the SIM card. Turn your phone on.
