Turn Bluetooth Off On A Nokia Cell Phone

Switch off Bluetooth on your Nokia phone when you are not using it.

Using a Bluetooth wireless connection is a convenient way to link your Nokia cellphone or smartphone to another computer, mobile device, printer or headset. Bluetooth allows connected devices to communicate and exchange data wirelessly over short distances. Although Bluetooth is useful, it can deplete the battery on your phone so you might not want to leave it running continuously. Turn off Bluetooth connectivity on a Nokia phone through the settings menu.

Instructions

1. Switch on your Nokia phone. If Bluetooth is enabled, a small Bluetooth icon will appear at the top of the phone's display screen.

2. Select "Menu" on your phone and then select "Settings" followed by "Connectivity" and "Bluetooth." This displays the Bluetooth settings menu. The method of navigation varies, depending on the model of your Nokia phone, but generally, you'll tap the phone's display screen or use the arrow buttons on the phone keyboard to navigate.

3. Select the "Off" option in the Bluetooth menu to turn off Bluetooth on your phone. The Bluetooth icon at the top of the phone's display screen will disappear or change from blue to gray.
