Use Download Software For Nokia 6500

The Nokia 6500 is a mobile phone with a bottom slide-out keypad. The device has the capability to use download software for a variety of functions. Download software allows for integration of computer software, email and media through a synchronization cable. This is how you can add documents, songs and even pictures to your 6500.


Instructions


Create synchronization


1. Make sure that you have the download software on the Nokia. If you do not have it, go to www.nokiausa.com and select "support," then "software" and then "download Nokia PC suite."


2. Connect your phone to the computer via a USB cable.


3. Open the Nokia PC suite software from the computer.


4. Click the "Synchronize" icon on the main window.


5. Select "Settings" and then "Create new settings."


6. In the Settings wizard, select an application--like Microsoft Outlook or iTunes--or item, such as a picture file, to synchronize.


7. Click the specific information you want to synchronize. For a program like Outlook, you would click email, tasks or calendar. For a program like iTunes, you would click the music files.


8. Select the synchronization range. This is how often you want the Nokia to sync to the computer.


9. Click "OK" when you have finished selecting the items you want to send to your phone.


Turn on automatic download software sync


10. Open the Nokia PC suite software on your computer.


11. Click the "Synchronize" icon on the main window.


12. Right-click the Nokia PC Sync icon on the Windows taskbar at the bottom of the desktop.


13. Click "Enable On Startup" to allow the Nokia to sync every time you connect the phone to the computer.
