Unlock An At&T Samsung Blackjack Ii

You can lock and unlock your Samsung Blackjack II keypad so that if your phone's being jostled it doesn't type in anything unintentionally. You can also select a password to lock and unlock the phone itself, as an anti-theft measure. To unlock the phone, merely type in the password that you assigned it when you locked it. Once you assign such a password, a short period of inactivity will lead the phone to lock itself. Calls can't go out when the phone is locked, but you can still receive them.


Instructions


Lock/Unlock Keypad


1. Lock the keypad by holding the key with a phone and lock pictogram. This button is to the lower right of the navigation wheel. Alternately, press the on/off button--with a vertical line inside a circle--to launch the Quick List, and then select the "Lock" option.


2. Unlock the keypad by first pressing the on/off button.


3. Press the left "Soft" key, which has a horizontal line on it. It is located to the upper left of the navigation wheel.


4. Press the asterisk key (the key for typing an "S"). Your keypad should now be unlocked.


Lock/Unlock Phone


5. Go to the Home screen and press "Start," "Settings," "More," "Security," "Device Lock."


6. Select "Prompt if device unused for" and select a length of time the phone is to wait before locking you out. Press the circular navigation key (the "OK" key) to mark the checkbox.


7. Scroll to "Password type" and select a password type.


8. Enter the password in the password field.


9. Select "Done" and "Yes."


10. Unlock the phone by entering the password when your actions prompt the request.
