If your computer has Bluetooth, it means that it has a chip installed with a Bluetooth radio and software that allows you to use the Bluetooth radio. Bluetooth technology enables devices within about 33 feet of each other to communicate wirelessly using radio waves. You can check if you have Bluetooth on a PC computer by looking in the device manager to see if the Bluetooth radio is listed as an installed device.
Instructions
1. Click "Start, Control Panel" to bring up the system control panel. Click "Performance and Maintenance" and choose "System" to bring up the "System Properties" window.
2. Click the "Hardware" tab and click "Device Manager" to bring up the system device manager.
3. Look for an entry in the device manager tree called "Bluetooth Radios." Since the entries are alphabetized, it should appear near the top of the tree.
4. If you do not find a "Bluetooth Radios" entry, you do not have Bluetooth on your PC. If you find a "Bluetooth Radios" entry, click the "+" to view the name of the device, for example "Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator" or "Microsoft Wireless Transceiver for Bluetooth."
