Fix The Screen On A Nokia 6130

If you've been having problems with the screen on your Nokia 6130, but the rest of the phone is working fine, it is most likely an internal connection problem. This can be fixed but it will require disassembly of your phone. But if you think that only a trained technician is capable of taking your Nokia apart, think again. As long as you have a little time and patience you can open up your phone and fix the screen connection.

Instructions

1. Turn off your Nokia, turn over the phone and slide the back battery cover off of the unit. Remove the battery from its compartment and set it aside.

2. Remove the four screws from the lower half of the back of the unit.

3. Use your fingers to separate the front and back halves of the Nokia at the seam where the two halves connect. Set the back half aside.

4. Remove the screw that holds the plastic cap at the top of the green circuit board in place. Remove the plastic cap and set it aside.

5. Lift the circuit board out of the front housing and turn it over to expose the LCD screen.

6. Unlock the four clips on the sides of the screen and lift the screen off of the board. Fit the screen back into its space in the board and replace the clips. This should realign the screen and fix any connection issues you may have been having. Reverse the steps for reassembly.
