Opening Jar & Jad Files On A Pantech Cell Phone

JAR and JAD files are files used to play games on your Pantech cell phone. While some phones support the files, your Pantech cell phone may not right away. The files end up in the "Media" folder, which prevents you from launching the games. The only want to open these files is to have them in the "Games" section of your phone. Fortunately, you can transfer the files with your Pantech phone connected to your computer.

Instructions

1. Attach the USB cable to your Pantech cell phone. Insert the other end to your desktop computer or laptop's USB port.

2. Click "Start" and "Computer." Double-click your Pantech's folder. Select the media files folder.

3. Highlight the JAR and JAD files you want to open. Right-click and select "Copy."

4. Click the "Back" button on the "Computer" menu. Select the "Games" folder.

5. Right click and select "Paste." Wait for the JAR and JAD files to save to the folder.

6. Disconnect the USB cable from your cell phone and computer. Press the "Menu" button.

7. Navigate to "Games." Select either the JAR or JAD file you want to open. The game should launch on your cell phone.
