The subscriber identity module, otherwise known as a SIM card, contains information about a mobile user such as serial number, phone number and contacts, among other things. SIM cards can be used between different phones. If you need to insert a SIM card into your Nokia 5610 phone, you'll find that the process is simple even if you've never worked with SIM cards before.
Instructions
1. Turn off the Nokia 5610 phone by holding down the "Power" button until the device shuts off.
2. Flip the phone over and press the "Release" button on the side to release the back cover. Lift the cover up to remove it from the phone.
3. Lift the battery up to remove it from its slot.
4. Place the SIM card in the SIM card slot and then push it into the slot. The gold contacts on the SIM card must be facing the phone when inserted and the notched corner should face into the slot.
5. Push the battery back into its slot.
6. Put the back cover back on the phone. Turn the phone back on to complete the process of putting the SIM card into your Nokia 5610 phone.
