Unlock A Nokia 6700 Classic

You can unlock your Nokia 6700 to choose another SIM card.

Although you may be happy to continue using the carrier you chose when purchasing your Nokia 6700, if you have to travel abroad, you will want to be able to unlock your phone. Roaming charges for using your cell phone outside the country can be extremely expensive. By unlocking your cell phone you will be free to remove your domestic carrier's SIM card and replace it with a cheap local SIM card for as long as you remain outside the country.

Instructions

1. Turn on your Nokia 6700 and push *#06# into your phone. This will give you your phone's IMEI identifying number. It should be 15 digits long.

2. Go to website "Unlock It" (see Resources). Search for the Nokia 6700 model and type in your IMEI number. The website will give you the phone's unlocking code.

3. Push #, then push * three times in a second ("p" will show on your screen) , then push * four times in a second ("w" will show), then push * two times in a second. The code "pw+" should show up on the screen of your Nokia after pushing those buttons. Enter your phone's unlocking code. Push # to unlock your phone.
