How Use Skype On My Mobile

Use Skype wherever you go with Skype Mobile.

If you've used Skype on your PC, you know how easy it is to video chat and talk with friends and family around the world. When you're away from the computer, you can still use Skype to keep in touch, only with your mobile phone rather than your computer. By downloading the Skype app onto your compatible device like a Droid, Blackberry or iPhone, you'll have all of the functionality of Skype, only without the computer cord.

Instructions

1. Visit your phone's app store. Skype currently has Skype Mobile apps available for Blackberry, Droid and iPhone, found in the Blackberry App Word, Android Market and the iPhone App Store, respectively. Download the Skype Mobile app.

2. Allow time for the download to initiate and complete. Touch the app icon to begin.

3. Enter your Skype username and password. This will allow you to have access to your friends list so you can contact via video chat or calling their number using Skype.

4. Select the friend that you'd like to contact. For video chats, touch "Video Chat," or simply call through Skype for voice conversations using the "Call" button.

5. Call someone that doesn't have Skype by purchasing credits. Touch "My Info," then select "Skype Credit." You can then select how much you'd like to spend on credits, which will then be automatically added to your account for landline and mobile calling. To see current rates for calling someone who does not have Skype, visit the Skype website.
