Get Rid Of A Trojan Virus From An Ipod Touch

People once thought that the iPod Touch was as secure as its older brother, the Mac. The Mac's Os X operating system is considered the safest computer around, because of the difficulty it presents to hacking. This was true for the iPod Touch up until recently, when people started complaining that their iPod Touch was not working as well as it once did. It would shut off unexpectedly and open programs that it was not directed to open. The problem was a Trojan virus, and there is really only one way to completely clean this Trojan virus out, and that is by restoring the iPod Touch's OS.

Instructions

1. Download and install the latest version of iTunes. The link to the iTunes website is in the Resource section. Open iTunes when you have completely installed the latest version.

2. Connect your iPod Touch to your computer, Windows or Mac, and wait as iTunes recognizes the iPod Touch. When it does, click onto the iPod Touch icon that just popped up on the left side of iTunes.

3. Select the "Summary" tab when you are presented with the iPod Touch menu. The menu will have a large picture of the iPod Touch on it, so when you see that, click on "Summary."

4. Click on "Restore" to start the restoration process of your iPod Touch. The process will take about 10 minutes to complete. You will be asked if you want to create a "Back Up of your iPod." Select" Don't Back Up," as you want to make sure that none of that data is corrupted by the virus. Select "Restore" and wait as your iPod is reset to its factory-set software. The Trojan virus will now be completely gone from your iPod Touch.
