Configure Hotmail On N95

Accessing email on a cell phone

The Nokia N95 smart phone has the ability to view mobile Web pages or send and receive email messages if you have a data plan through your cellular provider. If you want to receive messages that are sent to your personal Hotmail account while you are on the go you can set up your phone to access and download emails from the Hotmail server. To start using Hotmail on your N95 you only need to configure a few of the phone's messaging settings.

Instructions

1. Press the N95's menu key and then select "Messaging." Navigate to the "Mailbox" menu option and then select "Yes" to create a new mailbox.

2. Highlight the "Start" option and press the left select key. Choose the "POP3" option and then select "Next." Enter in your full Hotmail email address and then select "Next."

3. Enter "pop3.live.com" in the "Incoming Mail Server" text field. Enter "smtp.live.com" in the "Outgoing Mail Server" text field.

4. Scroll down to the "Access Point" option. Enter in the access point name provided by your cellular service provider.

5. Select "Next" and then choose "Mailbox Name." Enter in any name you'd like, such as "Hotmail Account."

6. Select "Finish" to finish configuring your Hotmail account on your Nokia N95 phone.
