Pair A 510s Headset To A Motorola Phone

A Plantronics 510S will let you make hands-free phone calls.


A Plantronics 510S is a Bluetooth wireless headset that can be connected a desk phone as well as a mobile phone. To create a connection between your headset and your phone, you will need to pair the two devices. This creates a secure connection between them, which prevents other people from eavesdropping on your conversation or pairing their devices with your headset.


Instructions


1. Connect the 510S headset to its charger and allow it to charge for at least 20 minutes before pairing it to a Motorola phone.


2. Press and hold the "Power/Mute" button for three seconds to turn on the 510S headset.


3. Press the "Volume Up" and "Call Control" buttons together. Hold it until the status light is blinking red and blue to set the 510S headset to pairing mode.


4. Turn on your Motorola phone. Open the Motorola phone's "Settings" menu, and scroll until you get to the "Bluetooth Application Menu." Turn on the Bluetooth of the Motorola phone. Look for "Add New Device" under the Bluetooth settings and click it. The Motorola phone will then select any Bluetooth devices nearby.


5. Click the name of the 510S headphone on the list of devices and press the "OK" button on the phone. The common name for the 510S headset is "Plantronics 510." Type "0000" or "8888," the default password for Motorola phones, and then press the "OK" button on the phone to pair it with the headset.
