Tether the Nokia N95 8G


The N95 8G is a smart phone by Nokia that is powered by the S60 operating system. This phone is capable of tethering, which means you can share your N95's data connection with your PC via Bluetooth. Tethering is a great tool for those constantly on the go or those who don't want to pay exorbitant prices to connect to Wi-Fi hotspots.


Instructions


1. Open the Nokia PC Suite software.


2. Enter the "Get Connected" wizard and choose "Bluetooth" as your connection method. Click the "Next" arrow.


3. Select your N95 from the list of detected devices on the next page. Click the "Next" arrow to continue. The Nokia PC Suite application will now install several drivers for your phone.


4. Choose the globe icon from the main menu of Nokia PC Suite. This is the "One Touch Access" section of the application. It helps you quickly connect to the Web through your phone.


5. Select "Standard Modem Over Bluetooth Link" on the "Select Modem" screen. Click the "Next" arrow.


6. Click the radio button next to "Select Your Network Operator From the List." Select your wireless carrier from the list. Click the "Next" arrow. This will tether your N95's data connection to your computer via Bluetooth. Each time you want to connect to the Web through your N95, enter the "One Touch Access" section of Nokia PC Suite.
