Configure The Belkin Wireless G Router 2 4 Ghz802 11g

Configure the Belkin Wireless G Router 2.4 Ghz-802.11g

The Belkin Wireless G Router uses the 2.4 gHZ wireless bandwidth. This bandwidth is shared by microwaves, Bluetooth devices and some cordless phones. A wireless router allows you to connect your wireless-enabled devices to the network and share resources such as printers and shared folders without connecting computers directly to the router. Eliminating the Ethernet cables for home networking saves you money and avoids cable clutter typical of a wired network.

Instructions

1. Put the Belkin installation disk in your computer.

2. Click "Run the easy install wizard." Click "OK" and "Next." Click "Next" twice.

3. Connect your modem into the blue modem port on the router. Temporarily connect your computer directly into the yellow Ethernet port on your Belkin Wireless G router. Click "Next." Connect the router's power supply to the back of the router and plug it in. Click "Next."

4. Click "Next" when your Belkin Wireless G router is displaying the lights the Easy Install Wizard indicates. Select the type of wireless security you wish to use on your network, the network name and network password. Click "Next" past each screen after you enter the configuration data. Click "Finish" to complete the installation.
