An Internet protocol address is used by information technology devices like printers, routers, modems and some mobile phones. The IP address gives them an identity and the ability to communicate with each other within a computer network. The Nokia N95's 3G data service and Wi-Fi connectivity features make it possible to connect to the Internet. With such a connection, your handset is assigned an IP address to be able to communicate with devices and users on the Internet.

1. Press the "Menu" key to access the menu option screen on your Nokia N95 handset.
2. Navigate to the Web browser and select it.
3. Type the address of WIMI.com. The IP address for your Nokia N95 will be displayed on the screen.
4. Save the page or write your IP address down and keep in a safe place.

5. Access the "Menu" screen of your handset.
6. Select the Web browser icon from this screen.
7. Type in the address for the What is My IP Address website (see Resources). Your handset's IP address will be displayed along with the name of your Internet service provider, region and connection type.

9. Access the phone's Web browser.
10. Type in the address of the Find IP Address website using the link in Resources. Your IP address will be displayed.
