Nokia E71 Full Phone Specs

The Nokia E71 is a bar-shaped mobile phone with a full QWERTY keyboard. The E71 is unlocked, making it usable on any GSM network, so you will need a SIM card. The device supports the 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 GSM frequencies. The E71 is available in white steel, gray steel, black and red.


Size, Screen and Battery


The E71 is 4.5 inches tall, 2.2 inches wide and 0.4 inches thick. The phone weighs 4.4 ounces. The E71 features an LCD display screen that measures 2.36 inches diagonally and has 24-bit color depth that allows up to 16.7 million different colors. All images show at a resolution of 320 pixels by 240 pixels. The E71 has a lithium polymer battery with a capacity of 1,500 mAh, or milliamp hours. The battery lasts up to 10 hours and 30 minutes on constant usage or 20 days on standby mode.


System and Storage


The Nokia E71 features the Symbian 9.2 operating system and has a 369 MHz ARM 11 processor. The phone has 110 megabytes of internal storage and 128 megabytes of RAM for virtual memory. With a microSD memory card, the E71 has room for up to 8 gigabytes of storage. All calling records are kept for up to 30 days, and with the generous storage space available, you can enter as many phone book contacts as you want.


Media


The device has a 3.2 megapixel digital camera with a self timer feature so you can be included in the pictures you take. Photos are taken at a maximum resolution of 2,048 pixels by 1,536 pixels, and the automatic focus function ensures that you will not turn out blurry photos. The E71 features a media player that supports MP3, WMA, WAV, RA, AAC and M4A audio files, and it also plays WMV, RV, MP4 and 3GP video files. You can also listen to FM radio stations on your E71.


Internet and Other Features


The Nokia E71 connects to the Internet through GPRS, Edge, 3G or Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g connections. Maximum speed is 100 kbps for GPRS, 296 kbps for Edge and 3.6 megabytes per second for 3G. The phone also supports Bluetooth 2.0 for file transfers and wireless headsets. A document editor and viewer is included so you can view and make changes to document files -- the supported programs are Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as PDF.


Organization and Calling Features


The E71 supports voice dialing so you can record yourself saying a contact's name and dial by repeating the name. Conference calling and speakerphone are also included. The E71 has an alarm clock and a basic function calculator that adds, subtracts, multiplies and divides. The organizational calendar supports adding appointments, meetings and important dates. You can also use the reminder function to set alerts prior to a date on your calendar so you get a reminder about important tasks or dates.
