Configure Tmobile Internet Settings

T-Mobile's mobile broadband cards plug into a computer's USB port.

In addition to cell phones, T-Mobile offers mobile broadband cards that can be used to connect a computer to the Iinternet anywhere in the wireless network coverage area or anywhere within the range of one of T-Mobile's Wi-Fi hotspots. The USB mobile broadband cards, like the webConnect Rocket, and computers that come with T-Mobile broadband capabilities built in, like the Dell Inspiron Mini 10, require T-Mobile's Connection Manager software to be installed on the computer to configure the Internet settings and connect to the network.

Instructions

1. Install the T-Mobile Connection Manager software. If you do not have the installation disc that came with your device, you can download the software from T-Mobile's website.

2. Open the T-Mobile Connection Manager.

3. Open the Tools menu. From here, you can change a number of settings, including network profiles, user credentials, and closed network connections. Additional preferences are available by clicking "Settings."
