Protect Files On Nokia S40 Mobiles

S40 phones can connect to any BlueTooth enabled device.

Nokia has sold several dozen phones using the S40 mobile platform. The S40 includes Web browsing, a video camera and task management apps. S40 phones also include social media sync applications. You can protect the files on your Nokia phone by copying the files to a mobile memory card and locking that card. Use this guide to get you started in the process.

Instructions

1. Turn on your Nokia phone and open the file you want to protect. Press and hold the "Power" button on your phone to turn on the device. Use the directional keys on your phone to navigate the phone menu and open the file you want protected. Check your phone's user guide for more specific instructions on navigating the menu.

2. Copy the file to the memory card. Press the "Options" button on your phone and then scroll down to select "Copy to Memory Card." Check your phone's user manual for the exact location of the "Options" button. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each additional file you want to protect.

3. Lock the memory card with a password. Open the "Options" application from the main menu of your phone. Select the "Set Memory Card Password" option. Enter a password using the keypad, and then select the "OK" button. The files on the memory card can now only be accessed through a password.
