Though the Nokia 2610 is a standard cell phone and not considered a smart phone, it still comes with Internet capabilities. With the Internet, you can send text messages directly to Facebook and post updates on your Facebook wall using the Nokia 2610 cell phone. However, this does not necessarily mean that you want Facebook to send messages to your phone when you receive updates on your account. The only available way to block Facebook messages from your Nokia 2610 phone is to change your Facebook settings.
Instructions
1. Log into your Facebook account by entering your username and password.
2. Click on the "Account" option from the upper right-hand corner. Click "Account Settings."
3. Select the "Mobile" option from your account page. It will be on the tab list at the top of the page.
4. Highlight the number that is attached to your Nokia 2610 phone by clicking on it. This will be located underneath "Mobile Phones."
5. Find "Texts Are" on your screen. Click the "Off" option.
6. Click on "Save Preferences." Facebook will now be blocked from sending messages to your Nokia 2610 cell phone.
