Remove Google Voicemail From An Iphone

Google Voice is a free service with popular features such as voice mail.

If you signed up for Google Voice but no longer want it on your iPhone, you may find it difficult to remove because simply deleting the app won't uninstall it. Instead, you have to sign into your Google Voice account on your computer and adjust your settings, removing the iPhone from your forwarding phones. Google will display a number for you to dial and when you call it, Google Voice will deactivate on your iPhone.

Instructions

1. Open a Web browser on your computer and type "google.com/voice" (without quotes) in the navigation bar. Press the "Enter" key. You will be taken to your Google Voice inbox.

2. Click on the button with the image of a gear in the upper right corner next to your email address. In the drop-down menu, click "Voice Settings."

3. Click the "Deactivate Voicemail" option for your iPhone. A dialog box with a code appears.

4. Dial the code on your iPhone just as you would dial a phone number and then press "Call." A confirmation message will appear on your iPhone confirming that the service has been deactivated.

5. Press on the "Google Voice" icon for a few seconds to turn on Edit mode. Tap the "X" in the upper-left corner to delete the app from your iPhone.
